With its soft, silvery foliage and wonderfully tactile leaves, Stachys byzantina ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy’ is a charming addition to the garden, bringing texture and one that I grow in my own borders. Also known as lamb’s ear, this low-growing perennial forms a dense carpet of woolly foliage, with slender flower spikes appearing in summer. Its distinctive silver leaves are particularly useful in floral design, adding softness and a muted, neutral tone to bouquets.
Best for: Cut-flower gardens, foliage for floral arrangements, garden borders, ground cover and adding texture to the garden.
