Sow seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before planting out or direct sow in mild climates. Light aids germination—press seeds onto the surface of the soil but do not cover. Transplant after danger of frost has passed, once seedlings are 5–8cm tall. |
| Growing Tips |
Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Provide light support if growing in windy areas or for high-density cutting. Harvest when the outer flowers have opened but the centre is still tight for the longest vase life. Will keep producing with regular cutting or deadheading. |
