Cold stratification helps: refrigerate seeds for 1–2 weeks before sowing.

Sow direct or in deep trays; transplant carefully as larkspur dislikes root disturbance.

Cover lightly – darkness aids germination.

Growing Tips

Prefers full sun and well-drained soil.

Benefits from support to protect tall stems from wind damage.

Regular watering helps flower development but avoid overwatering.

Cut when the lowest flowers on the stem start to open for best vase life.

Excellent dried – harvest early and hang to preserve colour.
