Gardeners have been cultivating Dianthus since at least the 1500’s. The Chabaud variety otherwise known as an heirloom carnation adds old-fashioned appeal to your cutting garden and floral design work.

Vintage carnations present the sweet and spicy fragrance of clove. Frilly pale lemon double blooms. Grass-like, gray or blue-green foliage.

Edible Flowers: Use the flower petals to garnish salads, desserts, soups, icing, and cold drinks. Flavor is of mild clove. Remove the petals from the flower base before consuming as the base can be quite bitter.

Approx 30 seeds per packet
