More compact than traditional delphiniums but still wonderfully showy, the Magic Fountain Mix offers rich jewel-toned blooms in shades of blue, purple, lavender, white, and rose, many with soft contrasting bees (centres). With shorter stems than traditional delphiniums, this variety is often easier to manage in bouquets, while still bringing all the romance and drama of early summer delphiniums to your bouquet or border.
Best for: Shorter-stemmed arrangements, flower beds, windy or small gardens.
Approx 30 seeds per packet

| Sowing Tips |
Sow indoors in autumn (March–May) or late winter (July–August) for spring flowers. Seeds benefit from cool, dark conditions to germinate—cover lightly. When seedlings first germinate make sure they have lots of light. Keep moist but not wet. Transplant gently—delphiniums don’t like root disturbance. |
| Growing Tips |
Best in full sun to part shade, with rich, free-draining soil. Water regularly, especially during dry periods. Staking is helpful, though less necessary than for taller varieties. Cut back spent stems to encourage a second flush. Harvest when the lower florets begin to open for best vase life. |
