| Sowing Tips |
Sow in late winter or early spring indoors. Surface sow or lightly cover – light helps germination. Germination can be slow; a short chill period (cold stratification) may help. Transplant carefully once seedlings are sturdy and all risk of frost has passed. |
| Growing Tips |
Prefers full sun and free-draining soil. Tolerates dry conditions and poor soils once established. May need staking in windy sites or exposed beds. Cut back old stems to encourage fresh flushes and prolong flowering. Leave some plants to set seed for self-sowing next season. |
