The papery blooms of strawflowers, which are native to Australia, can endure high heat and dry conditions. Profuse bloomers for fresh or dried arrangements. Strawflowers are one of the most popular flowers for drying, and once dried last seemingly forever. Tall, well-branched plants produce double flowers. Blooms are pale lemon-yellow. Fresh blooms: silvery buds take on a lemon hue as blooms mature and petals unfold. Fresh flowers open in shades of creamy white and lemon. Dried flowers: blooms turn fully lemon-colored once dried.
