How to Use Your Ladbrooke Micro Soil Blocker
-
Prepare your soil mix: Start with a light, well-draining seed-raising mix, one that holds moisture but won’t compact too tightly.
-
Moisten the mix: Add water gradually until the soil feels like damp sand, easy to shape but not soggy.
-
Fill the blocker: Scoop the moistened mix into the blocker's mould, pressing down firmly to create a solid block without air pockets.
-
Release the block: Gently push the soil block out onto a tray or seed flat, keeping the block’s shape intact.
-
Sow your seeds: Plant your seeds on top or just beneath the surface of each block according to the seed packet’s instructions.
-
Water with care: Mist or gently water your blocks to keep them moist but not waterlogged.
-
Watch them grow: Once seedlings have strong roots and leaves, transplant the entire block straight into your garden or a larger pot, no root disturbance needed.
